Our ladies group at Grace Baptist Church in Farmington, NM, had Scarlette Steuerwald come as the guest speaker to our Spring Ladies Retreat. We spent a wonderful weekend in Monument Valley, AZ exploring God’s beautiful creation, sharing meals, activities, crafts, and most importantly opening the Word of God together. Because of the busy pace of life, work, husbands, children, and church responsibilities, the ladies appreciated the opportunity to take a break from their daily routines, spend time with other women, and reconnect with God. Scarlette led our group in a Bible study on the topic of the life of Christ. Our time together was spent digging in the Word of God, studying the person of Jesus, and focusing on the message He came to share. The ladies were asking questions and were so intent on learning more, that they actually requested to cancel several activities in order to have more time in God’s Word. Scarlette also took time to talk individually to ladies and pray with them over their specific needs and burdens. While we had a lot of fun on this trip, the main things that everyone remembers from our retreat were the Bible studies and spiritual encouragement we all received.
